2 more drug peddlers fall in Nueva Vizcaya and Cagayan

 CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY- Police Regional Office 2 operatives arrested two more individuals, one listed as a High Value Individual (HVI) in separate police operations yesterday, January 23, 2021.

 PRO2 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Crizaldo Nieves in his report to Police General Debold Sinas stated that at about 4:15 PM of said date in Purok 6, Brgy. Bone South, Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya, PRO2 Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) operatives in coordination with PDEA personnel conducted an anti-illegal drugs buy-bust operation against Leopoldo Abrin Jr aka "Onyok" (listed as a High Value Individual (HVI) Priority 10 in the PNP/PDEA target list), 39 years old, married, elementary undergraduate and a resident of Purok 4, Brgy. Calitlitan, Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya after selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected Metamophetamine hydrochloride or “Shabu” to a PDEA agent.

 Along with the buy-bust stuff, one brown CAT sling bag, one genuine Php500.00 bill, and 10 other pieces of heat-sealed transparent sachets containing suspected dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops were also confiscated from the suspect’s possession. The suspect was previously arrested last April 10, 2017 for Violation of RA 9165 but did not avail of plea bargaining agreement. He was committed at NBP, Muntinlupa City last January 2018 but was released on December 25, 2019 upon his motion at the Court of Appeals.

 Meanwhile, at about 4:50 PM of same date, operatives of Cagayan Police Provincial Office, Gonzaga Police Stataion and DEU arrested Franklin Baclig, 18 years old, single, unemployed and a resident of Brgy. Paradise, Gonzaga, Cagayan after a buy-bust operation that led to the confiscation of a piece of heat-sealed transparent sachet containing suspected “Shabu.”

 The two suspects are now under the custody of the concerned police stations for documentation.

 PBGen Nieves warned other drug personalities to surrender or suffer the full force of the law. “The Valley Cops under my command will continue to hunt down drug users and pushers until the very last of them are put behind bars,”RD Nieves added.
