RD NIEVES thanks PNP leadership, other agencies for overwhelming support in Typhoon Ulysses disaster operations
CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY- Police Regional Office 2 Regional Director PBGEN CRIZALDO O NIEVES expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the PNP National Headquarters, various government agencies, groups and individuals who continue to extend their assistance to PRO2 in the relief operations in the typhoon-devastated areas in Cagayan Valley Region.
RD NIEVES said that the augmentation from the different Police Regional Offices, National Government Agencies and volunteers is a huge help in the continuous conduct of relief operations.
“Our sincerest appreciation and thanks to Chief PNP PGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, Police Regional Offices 1, 3, Cordillera, National Capital Region, PNP Maritime Group, PNP Special Action Force Air Unit, PNP Health Service, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection and other government agencies and volunteers who continue to tirelessly support us in this endeavor,” RD NIEVES said.
RD NIEVES said the PNP disaster response teams are continuously conducting aerial rescue and relief operations in typhoon-affected areas in Isabela and Cagayan with the assistance of the PNP SAF Air Unit, Philippine Coast Guard and Philippine Air Force to sustain the basic needs of the typhoon victims.
As of this writing, 25 motor/rubber boats, 32 trucks and 5 choppers from other partner agencies are being utilized in relief operations.
PBGEN NIEVES is currently conducting aerial assessment in Isabela and Cagayan as of this report.
