New police recruits join PNP-PRO2 roster today
CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU TUGUEGARAO CITY- After going through a rigorous screening process by the PRO2 Recruitment and Selection Board, 247 applicants for Patrolman/Patrolwoman finally took their oath of office today, October 30, 2020 at the Regional Training Center 2 (RTC2) in Minante 1, Cauayan City, Isabela.
In his message to the 211 male and 36 female police officers, PRO2 Regional Director PBen Crizaldo Nieves who administered their oath appealed to the police recruits to serve the community with honor, dignity and pride for the betterment of the PNP organization.
“Be reminded to always abide by the golden rule, to always treat those you are called to assist as you would wish to be treated; and just as well, treat the subjects of your calls as you would want your family to be treated and offer them the same protections you would tender to your own flesh and blood,” RD Nieves said.
The said recruits will undergo six months rigid Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) at the Regional Training Center and another six months for their Field Training Excercises to complete the Field Training Program.
Starting November 15, 2020, the new police officers will receive a basic monthly salary of P29, 668.00 through their newly-issued Automated Teller Machine cards aside from allowances and other non-cash benefits.
