2 drug personalities arrested in anti-illegal drugs operation
CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU TUGUEGARAO CITY- Two (2) more drug personalities to include High Value Individual (HVI) were arrested in separate anti-illegal drugs operations yesterday, February 15, 2020.
PBGEN ANGELITO A CASIMIRO, Regional Director, PRO2 in his report to Chief PNP, PGEN ARCHIE FRANCISCO F GAMBOA stated that at about 6:00 PM of February 15, 2020 in Brgy. San Andres, City of Ilagan, Isabela, joint personnel of Ilagan CPS, PDEU Isabela PPO, CDEU Laguna PPO, RDEU PRO2, RIU2 and PDEA-Isabela conducted anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of Jonar Barcena y Villasenior, 42 y/o, married, self-employed, resident of Brgy. Santiago 2, San Pablo, Laguna (categorized as HVI in the province of Laguna) and presently residing at Brgy. San Andres, City of Ilagan, Isabela while in the act of selling Shabu to a police officer who acted as poseur buyer. Confiscated from direct possession and control of the suspect were six (6) pcs of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be Shabu; five (5) pcs Php1,000.00 bill (buy-bust money); one (1) pc hand grenade; and one (1) pc olive green sling bag. Inventory of confiscated pieces of evidence was conducted with the presence of representative from media and DOJ and with the Brgy. Officials of Brgy. San Andres, Ilagan City, Isabela. Arrested suspect and pieces of evidence were brought to Ilagan City PS for proper disposition.
Meanwhile, at about 7:30 PM of same date in Panganiban St., Purok 3, Calao East, Santiago City, joint Personnel of CDEU SCPO, CIB SCPO, RDEU and PDEA RO2 conducted anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of Prince Charles Bentazal, Parungao, 27 y/o, single, unemployed and a resident of Altavista Homes, Brgy. Patul, Santiago City for selling one (1) pc heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be Shabu to a Police Officer who acted as poseur buyer in consideration of Three thousand Pesos (Php 3,000.00). Confiscated from the direct possession and control of the suspect were three (3) pcs heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be Shabu. Inventory and markings were conducted at the place of incident and was witnessed by DOJ representative and Brgy. Officials of Brgy. Calao East, Santiago City. Arrested suspect and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Police Station 1, Santiago CPO for proper disposition.
Cases for Violation of RA No. 9165 and RA No. 9516 are being prepared for filing against suspect Barcena, while a case for Violation of RA No. 9165 is being prepared against suspect Bentazal.
