Observance of “Undas” 2019 in Cagayan Valley, generally peaceful
CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY- The traditional observance of All Saint’s and All Soul’s Day 2019 was generally peaceful after people gathered together to the different transport terminals and cemeteries all over the region to visit their departed love ones from October 31 to November 2, 2019.
Police Regional Office 2 Acting Regional Director, PBGEN ANGELITO A CASIMIRO said that the observance of Undas in Cagayan Valley is considered peaceful except for the reported arrest of a certain Rowin Tumolva inside the Public Cemetery in Barangay San Ignacio, Ilagan City, Isabela for violation of RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunitions) and Alarm and Scandal on November 2, 2019.
ARD CASIMIRO commended the entire police force for a job well done. He also expressed his gratitude to the barangay officials, LGUs, volunteers, other law enforcement agencies and other PNP auxiliary forces for the support extended during Undas..
The Acting Regional Director added that the peaceful commemoration of the All Saint’s and All Soul’s Day attributed to the advance preparations of all PNP units and the deployment of enough number of PNP personnel to ensure the safety of motorists, commuters and the public. He emphasized that the cooperation and support of the public to the police was also a contributory factor in the attainment of a peaceful and orderly observance of Undas.
