PRO2 completed 5-day review for PNPA aspirants under PRO2 project A.Y.E.R.
CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY- The five (5) days review under project Assistance to Youth with Exceptional grades to cadetship Recruitment (project A.Y.E.R) for the more than forty qualified applicants for the PNPA Cadetship Admission Test in Region 2 was completed today, October 25, 2019.
PRO2 Acting Regional Director PBGEN ANGELITO A CASIMIRO represented by Regional Chief Directorial Staff (RCDS), PCOL ROMALDO G BAYTING in his message during the closing ceremony emphasized that the project is designed to recognize Senior High Students in the region who have exemplified academic excellence in their respective schools to be exempted from taking the PNPA entrance examinati on. He expressed his appreciation to the said PNPA aspirants for their positive response to the said project.
Project AYER reviewee, Romeliza P Bartolome, in her impression during the closing ceremony, expressed her deepest gratitude to the PRO2 leadership for coming up with this project initiated by the RCDS. “Having the initiative to organize project AYER to support the aspiring youths of our region to join the prestigious long maroon line, the Philippine National Police Academy. It was like an answered prayer for me because finally, I have now enough reason to pursue entering the academy for the second time, thank you PRO2,” says Bartolome.
Said program ensures financial subsidy to assist said brilliant but disadvantaged young individuals with outstanding potential and who plan to pursue a career in law enforcement by entering the Philippine National Police Academy.
Under the program, PRO2 will provide a maximum of Php 5,000.00 per PNPA applicant to subsidize any incurred expenses during the beneficiary’s application process which will come from the voluntary contribution of all PRO2 personnel through fund raising activities. Said annual financial assistance program helps prepare willing and outstanding young people for a future in law enforcement and is awarded on the basis of academic excellence.
