PRO2 recovers cadaver of suspected slain CTG member in San Guillermo, Isabela
CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY- As government troops continue its pursuit operations in San Guillermo, Isabela, PRO2 has recovered a cadaver believed to be a member of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) that was earlier encountered by the PNP.
PRO2 Acting Regional Director PBGEN ANGELITO A CASIMIRO in his report to PNP Officer-in-Charge PLTGEN ARCHIE F GAMBOA stated that at about 8:00 AM of same date in Barangay Colorado, San Guillermo, Isabela, a concerned resident reported to the PNP personnel that he discovered a male cadaver particularly at the Sinalugan Creek of barangay San Mariano Norte, San Guillermo, Isabela. Acting on the report, joint personnel of San Guillermo PS and 2nd Isabela Provincial Mobile Force Company led by PLTCOL VIRGILIO VI-CON M. ABELLERA proceeded at the said place to verify the veracity of the report and upon arrival thereat, the troops were able to recover one (1) unidentified male cadaver (Aeta) with gunshot wounds on his left leg and buttocks and believed to be member of CTG who was previously encountered by the Philippine Army in the said area; black electrical wire, more or less thirty (meters) personal belongings of CTG and medical kit.
The recovered cadaver was brought at Carbonel Funeral Homes for post mortem examination to be conducted by the Municipal Health Officer.
ARD CASIMIRO orders Isabela PPO Provincial Director PCOL MARIANO RODRIGUEZ to conduct in-depth investigation on the said incident for the possible identification of the recovered cadaver and to confirm his involvement in the said encounter.
Meanwhile, on October 22, 2019, elements of 86th IB, PA recovered two (2) camouflage bag pack at the encounter site at barangay San Mariano Norte, San Guillermo, Isabela which include bandolier, binocular, eight (8) pieces battery, three (3) pieces long magazine for M16, seventy (70) live ammunition for M16, assorted medical supply, toiletries, assorted food stuff, two (2) butane empty tank, one (1) portable butane gas stove, two (2) kilo of rice, two (2) plastic gallon, two (2) subversive document (Pamulat), five (5) pieces pants, five (5) pieces of short pants, five (5) pieces of T-shirt, three (3) pieces of Tumbler, five (5) pieces brief, one (1) jacket, Three (3) pieces sweatshirts, two (2) pieces of blanket, two (2) pairs slippers, two (2) pieces flag of CTG’s, one (1) pair black sack, two (2) bull cap two (2) belt, three (3) small eco bag, two (2) improvise tourniquet, two (2) improvise pouch/raincoat, four (4) Garbage Bag, two (2) nylon string.
Said recovered items are still under the custody of 86th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army.
