PRO2 Transformation Minilympics commence today

  CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY- As part of the PNP-PRO2’s desire to promote a healthy life style, develop sportsmanship and camaraderie among PRO2 personnel, Seven (7) teams from different Police Provincial Offices to include Santiago City Police Office, Regional Support Units and Team from IOBC joined the PRO2 Transformation Minilympics which commenced today, September 12, 2019.

  The Minilympics will showcase the talents in Basketball and sportsmanship of every participating team from Cagayan PPO, Isabela PPO, Nueva Vizcaya PPO, Quirino PPO, Santiago City Police Office, Regional Administrative/Operations Support Units and Investigation Officers Basic Course (IOBC).

  PRO2 RD PBGEN JOSE MARIO M ESPINO in his message delivered by the Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PBGEN JOHN CORNELIUS A JAMBORA said that aside from taking a time out from satisfying the demands of police works, the said activity will be a precious stride to fortify the conviction that fair competition through sports could enhance not only physical strength and moral fiber, but also reinforce the will toward peace and camaraderie.

  “To the players, you may have been grouped and carry your team’s name and color, but what counts most is that you all prepared yourselves to embrace the game which presents a feast for body, mind and soul transcending differences. Through this activity, we reflect on the point that aside from discovering the inner character of the people who work or play with us and see how they react with different circumstances,” says RD ESPINO.

  The Minilympics will be conducted at the PRO2 Covert Basketball Court  during Tuesdays and Thursday and will culminate on October 17, 2019.
