PRO2 nabs 5 drug personalities in drug buy-bust operation in Nueva Vizcaya

    CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY- Five (5) drug personalities were arrested while two (2) unidentified suspects are still on manhunt operation after a drug buy-bust operation was conducted in Sta Fe, Nueva Vizcaya yesterday, July 9, 2019.

    Arrested suspects were identified as Mark Lee Corgado Liboa, 32 years old, Patrick Corgado Liboa, 29 years old, Ramil Vivar Armilo, 45 years old, Candeleria Acala Armillo, 44 years old and Erald Cordova  all residents of Marikina City.

    PNP Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Director, PCOL RICHARD SAAVEDRA in his report to PRO2 Regional Director, PBGEN JOSE MARIO M ESPINO said that at about 9:10 AM of same date in Purok 4, Brgy. Poblacion, Sta Fe, Nueva Vizcaya, joint personnel of PDEU Nueva Vizcaya PPO, PDEA NVPO, Bayombong PS, PMFC, NVPPO and Sta Fe PS conducted drug buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspects and confiscation of  two (2) pieces genuine Php1,000.00 bill and 80 pieces boodle money; three (3) pieces medium size transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be Shabu (buy bust items); two (2) pieces small plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be Shabu; one (1) unit white Hyundai accent bearing plate no. MP 1006;  one (1) piece hand grenade; one (1) unit cal. 38 revolver with five (5) rounds live ammunition; two (2) pieces plastic sachets containing dried leaves believed to be Marijuana;  two (2) pieces small sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be Shabu; and two (2) units cellular phone.

    A hot pursuit operation against the two (2) unidentified suspects is still ongoing. The group is known to proliferate prohibited drugs in some provinces and cities of Central Luzon and tried to expand their operation in Region 2 which led to the operations and their arrest.

    Cases for violation of RA 9165, RA 9516 and RA 10591 are being prepared for filing in court against the suspects.

    RD ESPINO commended the operating units for another notable accomplishment in the campaign against illegal drug.
