PRO2 conducts bloodletting in celebration of 24th PCR Month
CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY- As part of the Police Community Relations Month Celebration, Police Regional Office 2 in partnership with the Cagayan Valley Medical Center Blood Bank conducted a bloodletting activity at the PRO2 Basketball Court today, July 1, 2018.
Joint personnel of the Regional Community Affairs Development Division, Regional Health Service 2 and CVMC Blood Bank were able to extract a total of 27,000 cubic centimetres out of the sixty (60) blood donors from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion, Regional Headquarters, Field Training Program trainees, Isabela Police Provincial Office and PNP Support Units in Cagayan Valley Region who have undergone blood screening.
PRO2 Regional Director, PBGEN JOSE MARIO M ESPINO said, the bloodletting activity is part of the line of activities in celebration with the PCR Month every month of July.
“We are glad that we could help our fellowmen not just in line with our mandated task to maintain peace and order in the community but in saving the lives of others through donating our blood,” PBGEN ESPINO added.
The extracted blood will be deposited to the CVMC Blood Bank for emergency use of PNP personnel and their dependents.
