PRO2 joins nationwide 2nd quarter earthquake drill

 CAMP MARCELO A. ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY –PRO2 in collaboration with other members of the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council conducted the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) at the PRO2 Headquarters today, June 20, 2018.

 The 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill started at around 2:00 PM and was participated by personnel of PRO2 led PCOL MERWIN A CUARTEROS, Chief, Regional Community Affairs and Development Division and PCOL ROBERTO M BUCAD, Chief, Regional Operations Management Division. The activity includes the simulated scenarios that require practical application of skills on first aide basic support and other emergency responses during earthquake like; the duck, cover, and hold.

 “We must be prepared at all times and equip ourselves with enough knowledge and skills to save our lives and the lives of others. This activity is very important; we have to practice it regularly to be prepared at all times, “PCOL CUARTEROS said.

 The purpose of the conduct of quarterly earthquake drill is to see how well our strategies work and correct any problems for improvements.

 Evaluators from the BFP RO2  led by FSUPT ANDRES T GALAPIA, Asst Regional Director, Bureau of Fire Protection 2 and Office of the Civil Defense 2 (OCD 2) led by Mr. Michael A Anog, Planning Section Chief gave their critics after the drill.

 FSUPT GALAPIA applauded PRO2 for a very satisfactory performance during the earthquake drill.
