Special Election in Brgy Dicamay Uno, Jones, Isabela Generally Peaceful
CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY- The special election held yesterday, May 20, 2019 in Brgy Dicamay Uno, Jones, Isabela is considered generally peaceful and orderly with no untoward incident reported.
Police Regional Office 2 Officer-In-Charge and Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PBGEN JOHN CORNELIUS A JAMBORA in his report to Camp Crame stated that at exactly 6:00 PM of same date, the voting had officially closed with no recorded election related incident happened within the polling precincts where special election was conducted.
The members of BEI with VCMs and election paraphernalia withdrew from Brgy Dicamay Uno, Jones, Isabela escorted by personnel of Jones Police Station led by PMaj Ruben Martinez.
The result of special election was successfully transmitted at about 7:00 PM of same date to municipal board of canvassers in Jones, Isabela.
PBGEN JAMBORA commended the AFP and PNP personnel assigned in the said area who provided maximum security to ensure a peaceful and orderly election in the said barangay.
It was on May 14, 2019 at about 6:47 AM at Manayo Hills, Brgy. Sta Isabel, Jones, Isabela when suspects Rodel Pascual 34 years old, married, farmer and Jayson Leaño, 27 years old, single, both residents of Brgy. Sta Isabel, Jones, Isabela burned the two (2) Vote Counting Machines. Pascual was arrested through hot pursuit operations while his companion Leaño surrendered to authorities. Criminal Charges had been filed against the said suspects.
