Police Brigadier General Crizaldo Nieves, Regional Director personally monitored the launching of said activity to ensure that the guidance of Police General Lorenzo Eleazar, Chief PNP and policies set forth in the PNP recruitment process are properly adhered to. “We are implementing the QR Code System in the PNP Recruitment to guarantee that "Padrino System" will no longer be practiced,” RD Nieves stated in an interview. He also added that it is imperative to start fixing the lapses in the recruitment process to ascertain that only the best and most qualified applicants will be selected.

In addition, Police Lieutenant Colonel Gregorio Tumbali, Assistant Chief, Regional Recruitment and Selection Unit 2 (RRSU2) emphasized that it is important for PNP applicants to know the right and timely information on the requirements for entry to the PNP in order for them to have ample time to prepare for the different stages of the recruitment process.
